Словарь составлен на основе практического опыта работы, а также различных источников информации. В словаре автором собран ряд неологизмов, появившихся в языке за последние годы. В словаре также приведены термины из других, в основном европейских языков, которые могут встретиться на практике при переводе распространенных документов, например, сертификатов происхождения, инструкций, счетов-фактур и т. п.

Многие термины снабжены примерами их употребления.

Одно из отличий данного словаря от других, классических электронных словарей заключается в том, что он больше оптимизирован под электронный поиск слов и словосочетаний.
